Supporting Ministers

Joel Wilson, Youth Pastor  In the summer of 2016, Joel accepted the call to serve as our Youth Pastor and he has been doing a phenomenal job! His primary goal is to ensure that all of our teens walk away with a more enriched understanding of God and the Bible. And of course, there’s always time for fun and games! Joel obtained his degree in history and teaching from Angelo State University and will be obtaining his Master of Divinity. He is married to the lovely Cindy, who is a graduate of Southern Nazarene University and works as a registered nurse at Baylor Dallas. They are currently expecting their first child in late March – a boy they’ll be naming Timothy!

Karen Hall, Children’s Ministries and Quizzing Director  Originally hailing from Bryan, TX, Karen has been a member of Carrollton Church of the Nazarene for over 25 years! Over the years – or should we say decades – she has done a fantastic job overseeing our children’s quizzing team and engaging in children’s ministries. As a preacher’s kid, Karen knows firsthand how important it is to teach kids from a very early age the deepest and purest love of Jesus Christ. Karen is married to Larry, who works as our church treasurer. They have two daughters, Aimee and Tammy.

Teri O’Connor, Worship Leader  Teri serves as our incredibly talented Worship Leader here at Carrollton Church of the Nazarene. When she’s not here making awesome music, Teri is a CFRE, a development professional for non-profits, and an accomplished songwriter. In May of 2017, she completed her Masters degree after having studied business and communication at Barclay College, Vennard College and Gonzaga University. Teri proves during every Sunday service that she has a deep desire to equip and encourage the body of believers to seek and serve the Lord in all aspects of life. She is married to Pastor Sean and together they have three daughters, Jacklyn, Miranda and Danielle.

He utilizes this gift by leading our Evening Worship service. In addition, he also serves as a Volunteer Chaplain at Lew Sterett Dallas County Jail and Dallas-Ft. Worth Veteran’s National Cemetery and actively supports the Salvation Army ministry.
