About Jesus
Knowing Jesus is as "easy" as A, B, C. Why bother, you ask? Because it is the most significant thing you can do in your life. It affects your eternal well-being and your place in heaven. It is a fact of life that one day we all will die. And regardless of our status on earth, we will be judged by God according to his instructions. Before Jesus came, God's instructions to man were to follow the Law. But no matter how hard they tried, there were very, very few who could actually go their entire life adhering to God's Law.
A. Admit your Sins : We are all sinners. Don't think so? Well, check out the Ten Commandments (Exodus 20). Recognize any that you have broken? We all have, in one way or another. As it says in Romans 3:23 "for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God". But exactly what are the consequences of sin? Romans 6:23 tells us that "the wages of sin is death..." But does that mean that we will all receive eternal damnation? Not if we repent and

B. Believe in Jesus: God sent Jesus to this earth because men could not achieve perfection on their own. Romans 6:23 tells us that "the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord." John 3:16-18 tells us how much God loves us :"For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life. For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but to save the world through him. Whoever believes in him is not condemned, but whoever does not believe stands condemned already because he has not believed in the name of God's one and only Son." As Adam's one action condemned the world to sin, Jesus took the sins of the world as he died on the cross and was resurrected by God after three days. (See Romans 5) Is it enough just to tell ourselves that we believe? John 6:40 & John 11:25 No, we must

C. Confess: After realizing that we are all sinners and that Jesus came to save us, we must repent and ask his forgiveness. Regardless of the severity of our sins, we can be forgiven. In 1 John 1:9 we are assured that "If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just and will forgive us our sins and purify us from all unrighteousness." Romans 10:9-10 tell us "That if you confess with your mouth, "Jesus is Lord," and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. For it is with your heart that you believe and are justified, and it is with your mouth that you confess and are saved."
